Target groups
PRESTO is meant to offer a wide set of “tools” for the uptake of daily cycling in cities. The project addresses different target groups that are engaged with cycling policies: urban policy makers and city planners may benefit from training events and expert support to learn how to create sound bicycle networks and to set up tailored promotional campaigns. The projects aims at involving individual users, they are cyclists but also people willing to start cycling but are excluded from traditional bicycle campaigns because leave in hilly areas or elderly people, they may benefit from participating at local events organized by the cities (e.g. bicycle festivals) and “try-out days” of pedelecs to see the advantages for themselves. This is also the first European project ever to involve bike dealers as dissemination partners close to the individual users.
