Grenoble is planning its local activities to foster daily cycling
The local activities in Grenoble are designed to increase the rather low share of bicycle trips (3%). Activities focusing on the development of design principles for urban cycling in Grenoble will start in the beginning of next year. So far, one meeting with local stakeholders took place to agree on design principles of streets and urban spaces in order to become friendlier for cyclists and pedestrians. Within the next months, first results are expected. In addition, in the beginning of the year 2010 a marketing campaign will be launched.
